Patty’s decades of teaching as well as her expertise in Sports Medicine give her a special lens to help support the health and well-being of the whole athlete”

Patty genuinely cares about her athletes

Our family had the privilege of meeting Patty when Lauryn was a member of the Washington GJAC team in 2018. Patty genuinely cares about her athletes and works hard to understand their strengths to help them grow as golfers and young adults. Having Patty as a mentor allowed me to just be “mom” in Lauryn’s life. Patty still maintains a close relationship with Lauryn and continues to be one of her trusted confidant, helping her adjust to the rigorous demands of being a collegiate athlete at Northwestern.

Patty does every single job with incredible commitment

I have known Patty Curtiss for many years; from her position as faculty and athletic trainer for the College of the Desert, to LPGA certification, to her groundbreaking advocacy for clinical health in concussion management; every single job she has done with incredible commitment. I have no doubt, Patty will use that same commitment to help your junior golfer achieve their goals. I have met very few people in my life, whether professional or non-professional, who have the level of passion and commitment that Patty does.

I felt comfortable knowing my daughter was safe while traveling and in good hands with Patty as her captain

I first met Patty in 2016 when she was the captain for my daughter’s team. Brittany played as a member of team Washington for several years and she was always excited to play in GJAC because it was fun and she enjoyed her teammates. Patty was always supportive, very organized and treated each player and family with respect. I did not travel to the team events with Brittany and I felt comfortable knowing she was safe and in good hands with Patty as her captain. I talked with Patty often about what Brittany should do and where she should go to college. I think all parents who have junior golfers preparing for college, should work with Patty.

The commitment she has to help young golfers is easy to spot

Patty Curtiss has captained the Washington team at the Girls’ Junior Americas Cup over 20 years, and I have had the pleasure of witnessing her abilities first-hand for several of those years. The commitment she has to help young golfers is easy to spot, and she’s able to make deep personal connections with her team members almost immediately, remaining in touch with many of them for years down the road. With her experience as a former Division I golfer and many years teaching as an LPGA professional, Patty has a wealth of knowledge to pass on, and is extremely passionate about sharing that knowledge and helping junior golfers with their development.

She never made me feel too pressured during tournaments and I was always excited to play

As a former D1 player, LPGA professional and experience on the junior golf scene, I consider Patty very knowledgeable. As my captain during many team events, Patty was always supportive, helpful and honest. She never made me feel too pressured during tournaments and I was always most excited to play in the GJAC. The GJAC is a fun event that is similar to the style of play at the collegiate level. Over the years I spent with Patty, she was very supportive and always thinking about what is best for the player. I wish I had more time with her prior to entering college golf.
